2002 Ducati MH900e still in the crate
« on: January 03, 2014, 02:13:32 PM »
Hi gang.  I'm new to this forum, but wanted to post my MH900e that I have still in the crate.  It's #1617 and the crate has literally never been opened.  This begs the question of how one knows it's actually in there.  Well, in anticipation of that, last month I pulled some strings with my contacts at UPS and arranged to have it taken to the airport and have it X-ray'd.  I've attached the pics.  I also have the original Bill of Sale. I bought this to keep as a treasure, but I thought I'd post it as, let's face it, anything is for sale for the right price.  I believe mid-30's is the right price (I reserve the right to be wrong).  If anyone is interested, feel free to contact me at matt@gusdesigngroup.com.  Thanks for looking!  Matt  PS this MH is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

You should put this on Ducati.ms. They get a ton of traffic. Good luck.

oh man i'd love this!  i'm one of those freaks that would keep in in the container - i love this kind of stuff!  i have an '86 VF1000R that has just 2,800 gentle miles, the first owner found it in the back of an Honda dealer in WI still in the crate too.  he assembled it, put 1,800 miles on it and sold it to my friend who put 1,000 miles on until i convinced him to sell it to me.  now it's a living room ornament!

cheers, chris

Hi everyone,

I'm gonna leave it up here a few more weeks and then likely put it up on ebay to get some exposure.   Wanted to give the die-hards (you guys) first crack before I put it out to the masses.   So if you're interested let me know before April 1st.  Thanks for looking!

Hi everyone,

Just for the sake of anyone who's coming on this forum to determine the value of THEIR MH900e, I thought I'd double back and let you know that I sold this last week.  Although the ebay auction suggests I sold it for $28k, I actually struck a deal with that bidder in advance for $33k and then ended the auction early when he was the high bidder.   So, in short, I got $33k.   Hope this helps and everyone continues to see theirs appreciate.  All the best!  Matt

33 k for a wooden box ...not for the bike.
What will be the value once seals will be open ??
congratulation for the deal , but considering myself as a lover of this bike i don't feel very concerned with this transaction who doesn't reflect the passion we feel main part of us for this piece of art.
piece of art closed into a wooden box...
