Finding the Registry
« on: December 18, 2012, 12:25:45 PM »
To view the Registry you can visit http://registry.mh900e.org and see what I have in mind.  You'll find a Welcome page, an Index, and a Submittal page.  I hope to make the submittal page "live" at some point (if I figure out how....I'm NOT a programmer or web expert) so that it can actually be submitted directly for incorporation.

For now, here's the plan:

The Index shows 2000 numbers.  If you have an MH900e you'll know what those are for.  If not, I'll explain.  Each MH900e came with an identification placard attached to the fuel tank cover.  That placard includes a number between 0001 and 2000 which can be used to identify each individual unit.  MHe owners often identify themselves by that number.

Each bike on which we have information will have its own page.  That page will serve as the record for that bike.  It can include as much or as little information as the owner likes including a single photograph of the bike (and owner if you like).

The Submittal page gives an example of the type of information I'd like to include in the registry.  For now, simply start a new topic beneath the Registry category on this board with your information and I'll get a page made for you.  As soon as that page is made I'll delete the topic here in the interest of keeping things current and to avoid confusion.

If you look over the Registry and think there's something more that should be included I'd be happy to add to the page.  Your feedback is very welcome!

The first 25 Registry entries are now active.  You can go to the Registry at http://registry.mh900e.org, then click on the "Index" link at the top of the page.  Once on the Index page you can click on any of the first 25 serial numbers to see what information we have on those bikes.

Most of the entries contain only the information Ducati recorded when the bikes were initially reserved on the internet and their records are incomplete.  Others have changed hands several times and we have a good record of ownership.  Still others are in between.

My initial thought is to first complete records for those bikes on which we have more than the initial reservation information.  Later I can fill in the bikes with only reservation information.  I have reservation information on nearly all of the 2000 bikes.

Thoughts and alternative ideas are greatly appreciated!

Bikes through 0202 on which I have information (beyond initial registration to purchase) are now available on the registry page.  Additionally, 1347 and 1501 are there, as I was asked to add one and added the other because I have personal knowledge of its most recent sale.

If you'd like to shove your bike to the front of the line feel free to start a new topic requesting this service.  Please include as much information about the bike as you're comfortable sharing with the world.  As I add information to the registry I'm including a spot showing when the information was harvested (to the best of my knowledge) and would love to be as current as possible!

Again, the new PERMANENT home of the MH900e registry is http://registry.mh900e.org

My name is Daren I have #0194 and am the 3rd (and very recent) owner located in Portland Oregon. I understand the bike was purchased by a gentleman in San Francisco originally and then changed hands to a guy up in Seattle in 2006 with little over 300 miles on the clock. The bike has zero modifications, but is just getting a full service and new tires at MotoCorsa here in Portland. Current mileage is 588.

Hi all

Great idea to create the registry, I fell in love with the MH900e during a Bologna factory tour in 2007, had to have one after seeing one on display there - my bike (#980) was purchased via Ebay in 2008 from a dude in the US, pretty sure he was the original owner but could not be sure. Bike came to me with 1000 miles or so on it, a set of aftermarket mufflers and a broken X-bracket. Sourced the X-bracket from the group purchase on this site (awesome), and bolted on a pair of Staintune mufflers. That's all I have done, (apart from replacing the batteries), would like to do the tank/battery mod but then again I also like the idea the bike is 100% stock, except for the exhaust. I don't ride it much, just enjoy owning a piece of history. Current kms are just over 2600, most likely pass her on to my son with not too many more. Picture was taken on the east coast of Tasmania - worthy place for a sweet ride if you get the opportunity.

Cheers and keep up the good work.

I'm not nearly good enough a web programmer to make that happen.  If one of you is I'll gladly transfer the domain into more capable hands.  I'm an engineer by trade....but a mechanical engineer, not a computer one.   ;)
