Sent me a PayPal invoice.

Looking forward to viewing some fine craftsmanship.

Apparently the "dashboard" is in, sub-standard build quality...aka, crap!!!
I just bought my MH with 9 miles and the dashboard was inop...even the tach didn't work.
I pulled the forward fuse (30A) and reinstalled it and the tach and the speedo began to work but nothing else.  I could not switch from kph to mph.
Mine came from an Audi dealer on consignment and that dealer paid for a new dashboard...$1,171.
I have yet to install it.
I suspect the the Ducati dealer who cleaned the bike, changed fluids and belts washed the bike because I see traces of dried soap here and there.
I've read that it's not wise to get the dashboard wet.  Some say to carry a plastic bag in case we're caught in rain.  I'd guess that the Ducati dealer was unaware of how important it is to not get water on/in the dashboard.
Either that or the dashboard is indeed "crap".

General Discussion / Found: New StainTune Mufflers

Howdy gents,
I just found a new set of MH900e StainTune mufflers locally, still in the sealed factory box, and the seller wants $2000.
I may make him an offer, but if not, is anyone else interested?
If no one is interested, might I get some idea of what to offer the seller?
Thank you.

I purchased and installed a Superlite Carrier with a 41T sprocket...also a new Regina Gold 520 chain that I've had in my stock for years.  It's a different bike now...easier to clutch off the line and suitable for my city and short local freeway runs.
At 4k rpm she's clocking 100 kph.
SLPCD1-KIT - $200.08 + Free Shipping (normally $214, found a discount code online).
Comes with a steel sprocket of your choice  (I chose the 41T to best match the drive sprocket)
PS I have never dropped down a tooth in front on any bike I've owned which drive I've altered.

General Discussion / Torque Values
« on: May 13, 2017, 12:35:45 PM »
Howdy gents,
Just finished installing a quick change carrier with a 41 tooth sprocket and a new chain.
I'm not sure if the ecentric hub bolt torque is the same for most Ducatis.
Some forums say 22 ft/lbs. for the 916, 748, etc.
I can't seem to find the values in the manual.  Anyone have a clue?

OK, I'm in for a new set of fork caps.
BTW, what is the size of the spanner used to unloosen the OEM fork caps?

Found one - 28 USD.

I would take it to a metal smith...a silversmith to hear what they would suggest.
Looks like it's etched.  Good Luck.

General Tips and Advice / 46 mm Rear Wheel Nut Tool - Cheap
« on: April 26, 2017, 10:06:10 AM »
I've had this wrench since back in my VW days (40 yrs. ago).  It's a perfect fit for the Ducati rear wheel nut.  1/2" drive.
And cheap, too...$10 (USD)
I have used it on my 851 and 996S in years past...just used it again yesterday on the MH.
I'm guessing that it's available worldwide.

Electrical / Re: Instrument Panel
« on: April 26, 2017, 08:59:55 AM »
Anyone know how to break the code WRT the instrument panel?
Mine will not respond to instructions listed in the manual.
It is stuck on KPH, cannot change the time, etc.
I have pulled the forward most 30 amp fuse and reinstalled, but no change.
Thank you for any information.

General Tips and Advice / Re: Starter Motor
« on: April 26, 2017, 08:52:33 AM »
Thank you, Dave.  Very good info.
I recently purchased a 9 mile MH from the original owner.  It was on consignment with an Audi dealership in Nevada.
The dealership had a local Ducati service dealer perform over $1,000 worth of work on the bike.
New belts, oil/filter, brake fluid, chain clean/lube, replaced a couple of cracked/broken fuel fittings, etc., etc.
I will take note of this starter issue.
Best regards,
Don R.

PS The only issue with this MH now is that the instrument panel does not respond to the instructions listed in the manual.  I do have tach, total miles, and trip miles.  Cannot change KPH to MPH, however.
Very frustrating.

I'm interested in installing a larger rear sprocket (+ 1T or +2T or +3T) and I cannot find what I'm looking for online.
Does the MH share a common rear sprocket with other Ducatis?...if so, which ones?
Or does anyone have a link where I may purchase a larger rear MH sprocket?
Thanks muchly.
Don R.
